Associate Pastor Ricky Townsend and his wife Vickie felt the call to move to Townsend in the year 2006. Leaving their daughters behind in their native home of Naples, Florida they packed up everything and left jobs, family and everything they had always known as home. Their daughters and son-in-law followed two years later and moved to Tennessee as well.
Upon arrival in Townsend, they searched out several churches in the area only to be told of the Lord, “no, not here”. Having breakfast at a local restaurant they met Pastor Gary Pittman and was invited to visit Shepherd’ Glory. After meeting Pastor Gary, they knew that they had met their pastor and soon became involved in the ministry. Several years later they were set in at elders of the church. Pastor Ricky was ordained as Associate Pastor in 2020 and is currently enrolled as a student of International School of the Word an online Bible teaching. Vickie is the office administrator.
