“He Will Handle It”

“He Will Handle It”

Many, many people today, even Christians, are dazed and amazed seeing the things that have happened in this nation during the last four years, especially in 2020. I began to list all these situations, but I stopped and erased them from this message because it sickened me to remember them as I wrote them down! If you’re a born again, Spirit-filled Christian you know and saw what happened to our nation! Those events have left millions upon millions of American citizens not only dazed and amazed but also fearful, confused, disappointed, dismayed and discouraged! Many people are asking, “How did this happen?”, “Why did this happen?” and “Now, what do we do?”, “Can this be fixed?”. I truly believe the situations we find ourselves in today “can” and “will be” fixed! Think about it! Under the current political party in power, we will not be able to change things legislatively or by voting because they are in control of all voting requirements and all voting methods and all voting verifications! So, what are we to do? Look at Psalm 2 (please read). As you can see in verses four and five, the Lord will do the “heavy lifting” to correct “the wrongs” done, but we also have a part to play in restoring and reviving our nation. Notice in verses eight and nine, “Ask of Me…”, by “fervent prayer”. II Corinthians 10:3-6 (please read) notice verse four, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (or natural weapons) but are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…”. We must continue to “pray fervently” and “trust the Lord” to handle the rest of it! Psalm 2 gives us a perfect word picture of what has happened in these last four years and what will happen the days ahead! The Lord is so faithful to us and to “uphold” His Word to us! Our job as His people is to pray like never before and trust Him like never before! We close with Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Now, pray, trust Him and watch Him handle it!

Forever Following Jesus,

Gary Pittman, Pastor
